Mixed Vegetable Paratha


Mixed Vegetable Paratha is a North Indian recipe that you can relish with your loved ones in breakfast or brunch.

Time: 40 minutes


  • 1 1/2 cup Wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped spring onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrot
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum ( green pepper)
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped fenugreek leaves ( methi)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic
  • 1/4 cup boiled,mashed peas
  • 1 chopped green chilli
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Refined oil
  • 4 tablespoon mashed,boiled peas
  • For The Main Dish
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped spring onions
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped fenugreek leaves ( methi)


  • Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add carrot, cabbage, capsicum, spring onion, fenugreek leaves along
  • with crushed ginger and garlic.
  • Sprinkle salt and turmeric powder over it and saute over medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes or until vegetables
  • are tender. Add boiled and mashed green peas in the mixture.
  • Mix well and turn off flame. Let the cooked mixed vegetables cool for 5 minutes.
  • Take 1 cup wheat flour, 1 teaspoon oil and salt in a bowl. Add vegetables mixture, chopped coriander leaves,
  • chopped green chilli, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and coriander powder. Mix them properly.
  • Knead until smooth by adding small amounts of water. Grease its surface with little oil, cover and let it rest for
  • 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, divide the dough into 8 equal parts and mold them into a small ball. Take 1/2 cup of dry
  • wheat flour in a plate for dusting.
  • Take one dough ball, flatten it like patty and dust dry wheat flour over it. Roll out the paratha.
  • Place it on a hot tava/griddle and cook over medium flame. When tiny bubbles start to rise on the surface, flip
  • it and reduce the flame to low.
  • Spread 1/teaspoon oil around edges and spread over the paratha. Flip it again and spread 1/4 teaspoon oil
  • around over it.
  • Press it with spatula and let it cook over medium flame. Cook until golden brown on both sides.
  • Follow the same process for the remaining dough balls and you have a delicious and nutritious meal.
  • Serve hot with side dish of your choice.
