Masala Fish Fingers


Masala Fish Fingers is a delicious Fusion recipe which is easy to make and can win anyone’s heart.

Time: 40 minutes


  • 2 washed & dried fish fillets
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon mint
  • 1 small lemon wedges
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 inch minced,peeled ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered red chilli
  • 2 cup sunflower oil
  • 150 ml Water
  • For Marination
  • 1/4 tablespoon powdered coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 pinches salt
  • For The Garnishing
  • 1 tablespoon mint
  • 1 small lemon wedges


  • For making this Masala Fish Fingers, mix lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon salt and coriander powder in a bowl.
  • Marinate the fish strips in this for an hour or two in the fridge.
  • Remove the fish from the marinade and keep aside to remove excess marinade.
  • Mix all purpose flour (maida) and water in a bowl till smooth.
  • Add ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, red chilli powder and chopped mint leaves.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium flame.
  • Dip the marinated fish fillets into the flour mixture and coat evenly. Then put it into the hot oil.
  • Deep fry until golden brown and crisp, for about 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Serve hot with lemon wedges and green chutney
